Tell us about yourself?
I got myhad the first taste for entrepreneurship as a child selling fruit from myhis grandfather’s orchard.
Before Lensa, I had the good fortune of building Hungary’s leading recruitment platform, Profession.hu.
In just four years, we managed to achievereach an extraordinary growth. This where we got the attention of SanomaMedia in 2005, who purchased the company in 2005my first company. In the following years that followed, my journey through founding, funding, and exiting successful startups taught me a valuable lesson: that the hiring process is brokenlargely disorganized and so is howthe way people searchlook for jobs and develop their careers.
This iswas how the vision foridea to establish Lensa was borncame to light and also why my ambition was larger than just the Hungarian or European job marketI wanted to address the the tiger on its own turfthe desire to look at the larger picture,: : to outside the borders of Hungary and Europe and focus on the US, which is the world’s largest job market.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Don’t be afraid to sell your business when you think you’ve made the most of it. Keep moving forward.
What problem does your business solve?
In a world that is filled with many talented peoplepersons and highly-skilled professionals who are constantly in search of new job opportunities, we need there is an increasing need for platforms that help to make itjob hunting easier for both employers and candidates to find the right opportunitiespotential employees.
Platforms like Lensa have managed to bridge the gap between the two,both parties in a bid to creatinge a more fluid and effective job search process.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Today’sThe inspiration is based on the flaws and negligence of our modern day recruitment systems are not meetingthat fall behind today’s job seekers’ needs expectations.
With job-hopping, new jobs and industries like the mMetaverse emerging, few recruitment companies or agencies can keep up with the trends. This inspired us to take action!
What is your magic sauce?
We use real-time AI in our job search engine to help pairallocate the right candidatesskills with the right opportunitiesrecruiter. This way we can help blue collar and white collar jobs seekers find their perfect match.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We aimwould like to be the leading known as the top choice job search platform in the US for searching and finding a job. Our ambition is to help US job seekers on their career journey and become as well known as a well-known name like Indeed or Glassdoor.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Lensa’s growth relies heavily on the job market in the US.
This was heavily impacted during COVID-19Covid19. When the During tough job market became turbulentces, we were compelled tothe expand our services to cater better to both employer and job seeker needs.
This enables usway we can to reduce the impact of these shifts.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
Job searchseeking shouldn’t be an endless long lasting struggle. Every day thatwhen people don’tcannot find the right jobs that matches their skills, companies also lose out on valuable talent.
This is where we want to come in to the picture and help and match the right peoplehelp associate the right skills with thethose companies that need them the most.
