Worldz is a SaaS that turns eCommerce into Social Commerce. The technology, through some algorithms, gives the oppotunity for consumers to pay with the popularity they have on Social Networks, through a sharing. eCommerces, on the other hand, in exchange for a credit, increase their visibility on Social Media through their own customers and, more important, the Conversion Rate on their websites.
Tell us about yourself?
I was a pilot in the air force in Italy. During the Academy, I didn’t have the mobile with me but Social Media was exploding and I was missing it. When I come back home I notice that there wasn’t something that gave to users the opportunity to “use” the popularity on Social Media to buy things, so I did it.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
I saw that by the user side, it seemed that if you were not an influencer, your activity on Social Media has no worth. So I created something that could help to close the gap between influencers and “normal users”.
What is your magic sauce?
Our technology is complex. It is not enough to create something new, but it is very important to make it works. And our technology works.
Where do you see your company going in 5 years time?
As a well-known technology Brand came from Europe but used by almost all the Western world.
What has been your biggest setback so far?
We have pivoted twice. At the beginning Worldz was an app for mobile, but to reach the critical mass to be large enough to make things happen, we’d need more money, so we changed into a SaaS for eCommerce.
The second time, we added more complexity to some funtionality to help people understand and use better the platform. It wasn’t a very pivot, but we changed all the frontend of the solution.
What is the next big challenge for your business?
Scale the solution with our new releases.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We want to help eCommerces giving them the opportunity to increase conversion rate becoming Social Commerce.
