Povilas Sabaliauskas: Lowering Stress and Anxiety While Also Improving Sleep and Mood

Povilas Sabaliauskas: Pulsetto

Pulsetto (Vagus nerve stimulator) was created as a consumer electronics product with the primary goal of lowering stress and anxiety while also improving sleep and mood.

We are concentrating on the health and wellness market. Pulsetto stimulates the vagus nerve, which runs through the neck and transmits signals to the central nervous system, with modest electrical stimulation.

Through the application, the user can adjust the intensity level and duration of the stimulation.

Tell us about yourself?

I’m biomechanical engineer working in neuromodulation business for more than 5 years, developing products, launching products to market. I eat sleep and daydream of neuromodulation.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Build more concepts, more iterations, just try to work more with physical prototypes, and try to optimize possible options. More hands on work less reading and contemplation on the possibilities, you have to start somewhere.

What problem does your business solve?

We are providing the possibility to control your physiological processes that are usually uncontrollable with only strong will meditation yoga practice ect.

Stimulating vagus nerve is a primary component of the parasympathetic nervous system, which is in charge of a variety of critical bodily functions such as mood regulation, immune response and digestion,as well among others.

It connects the brain to the gastrointestinal tract and, through afferent fibers, communicates information about the state of the internal organs to the brain about the body’s overall health. Increased vagal tone and decreased cytokine production are among the effects of treatments that target the vagus nerve, among other things. Both of these mechanisms contribute to resilience in their own way, but in different ways.

Afferent fiber stimulation in the gut has been shown to have an effect on monoaminergic brain systems in the brain stem, which are important in the treatment of major psychiatric conditions such as mood and anxiety disorders, according to the findings of this study.

Also consistent with this hypothesis is preliminary evidence that gut bacteria can improve mood and anxiety, possibly by influencing vagus nerve activity, which is consistent with this hypothesis.

The fact that increasing vagal tone through meditation and yoga is associated with the ability to regulate stress responses and can be influenced by breathing suggests that doing so will help you become more resilient while also reducing your mood and anxiety symptoms.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The motivation behind this idea is to supply the end customer with the most cutting-edge technology possible. Simply to present an extra possibility for you to maximize your potential and enhance your wellness.

Every new consumer electronic device includes tracking capabilities, but none of them actually influence the user in any way.

The purpose for this was to have a genuine impact on the problem and propose a remedy to it, rather than simply informing the customer that there is something wrong with him.

What is your magic sauce?

This product is comfortable, easy to operate, and manageable. It was necessary to develop a wearable vagus nerve stimulator because the only devices available on the market were difficult to use.

We feel that our key advantage will be that we will develop a system—that is, an app and a wearable. At the same time, our device is more advanced due to the four stimulation outputs.

We will also be more user pleasant for the end user, since it will only take a few clicks and 5-10 minutes every day to see benefits and results. Unique stimulation algorithm also customisation with AI to fulfill our users demands.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Have 6 iteration of our device, provide new additional features, develop community around the device. And after 5 years speding close to zero to advertising and have steadily increasing revenue due to word of mouth.

I believe that within ten years, non-invasive neuromodulation will be able to compete with medications as a first-line treatment option for patients.

We are at the forefront of this technology, and we want you to fully appreciate the potential of our non-invasive vagus nerve stimulator. I personally want it to make it that these kind of device would be the first-line treatment option in 7 years.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Supply chain issues. We had to rethink the electronics for several times due to shortage of the components, this backtracked us for some time.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

Just visit our site, if you are in the US but the device, try it! You will see the possibilities of neuromodulation. The action is speaking louder that ads. We want credible people to try it and give the honest review of our device. https:/
